Warranty Terms

All Black Ice Audio Products Purchased through Black Ice Audio USA come with a 5-year warranty if purchased after June 1, 2022. For items purchased prior to June 1, 2022 or from an authorized dealer please refer to paperwork for the term of the warranty period.

Black Ice Audio New Tubes are Guaranteed for 6mo for the 12AX7/12AU7/6922/EL84/EL34/6CA7 and 1 year for the KT77/KT88/6550/KT170 or 1000 hours whichever comes first. NOS tubes have a 30 day warranty.

These warranties cover all defects in material and workmanship with the following specific exceptions: 

  • Damage caused by improper installation or adjustment.

  • Damage caused by accident, environment, unreasonable use, or neglect.

  • Damage caused by an act of God.

  • Damage from failure to follow instructions contained in the Owner's Manual.

  • Damage from repairs performed by someone not authorized by Black Ice Audio

  • Any unit on which the serial number has been effaced, modified or removed.

  • Damage occurring during shipment, other than that arranged by Black Ice Audio

  • Units that have been altered or modified in design, appearance, or construction by anyone other than Black Ice Audio.

  • Units that have had tubes that are not specified as compatible installed.

  • Black Ice Audio tubes that are not run at the voltage specified in the manual.

  • Black Ice Audio tubes that have been dropped, broken, or misused.

  • This warranty is non-transferable and is extended to the original purchaser only.

  • Phone support is extended to the original purchaser only.

  • Any unit that has not been purchased through an authorized dealer. See Dealers for current Authorized Black Ice Audio Dealers.

  • Any unit sold as a demo unless the dealer has registered it with Black Ice Audio, note demo units only receive the balance of the warranty left from the in service date, please ask us if you are unsure, we know the serial numbers of all demo units.

  • Black Ice Audio warranty covers only the Black Ice Audio products and no other upstream or downstream component(s) in system.

  • Black Ice Audio reserves the right to change its warranties at any time, in its sole discretion without prior notice with respect to future sales and deliveries.

  • International customers are provided replacement parts free of charge for the warranty term, however we do not cover labor in you country. The full warranty is USA only, so the customer may send it to our Maryland facility for full repair coverage, but will be responsible for all shipping arrangements to and from Black Ice Audio. The customer will also be responsible for any taxes, fee, or duties incurred.


This warranty covers only the actual defects within the products themselves. It does not cover costs of installation in (or removal from) a fixed installation, or normal set-up, claims based on any misrepresentation by the dealer, or performance variations resulting from installation-related circumstances such as signal quality, AC power, or incompatibilities with other system components. During the warranty period, Black Ice Audio will, at its option, either repair the defect, or replace the defective product, or the defective parts, or components thereof with the then-current product/component in use by Black Ice Audio, at no charge to the owner for parts and labor covered by this warranty. Shipping charges on warranty parts and/or repairs: the customers pays shipping to Black Ice Audio, we cover return shipping once the repair is verified to be covered under warranty and complete for 6 months after the delivery date to addresses in the mainland USA only. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty repairs. (IMPORTANT: only if the item is sent in its original packaging all foam and inner and outer box.)

Tubes replaced under warranty must be returned to Black Ice Audio: the customers pays shipping to Black Ice Audio, we cover return shipping(mainland USA addresses only) once we verify the tube is defective for 3 months on the 12AX7/12AU7/6922/EL84/EL34/6CA7 and 6 months for the KT77/KT88/6550/KT170. (IMPORTANT: only if the item is sent in it’s original packaging all foam and inner and outer box.)

If necessary repairs are not covered by this warranty, or if a unit is examined which is not in need of repair, you will be charged for the repairs and/or the examination and shipping. If non-warranted repairs are needed, we will notify you of the estimated cost and ask for your authorization to perform said repairs.

Please save the original shipping cartons and packaging materials, as the unit MUST be returned in the original carton and packing. If the original packaging is not used the customer assumes all responsibility for shipping and insurance.
